1. Open Education Week
We will discuss the opportunities to be involved with Open Education Week 2015, including online and local events. Promotion of Open Education Week and its events to new audiences will also be discussed, along with opportunities to exchange ideas and get feedback from other members.
2. Open Education Consortium’s Strategic Plan
This is our opportunity to hear from you! We will post an outline of our strategic plan by 1 February and invite you to give us feedback on opportunities you see for the OEC, trends in education and general feedback on our current and proposed activities. We invite you to help us shape the future of the Consortium!
3. Open Education Information Center
The Information Center is shaping up. We’ll give you a preview, explain what we’re working on, and invite your critique and suggestions.
4. Open Education Global Conference
We will give you an overview of the conference, speakers, topics and discussions taking place at our annual conference, this year in Alberta, Canada from 22-24 April. We’re excited for all the great talks that fall under this year’s theme of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. You won’t want to miss the OE Awards ceremony at our conference, which will feature a stimulating performance and presentation byKai Kight.
5. Election for Open Education Consortium board members.
Nominations for board member seats will open on February 4. We’ll discuss the expectations and responsibilities for board members and go over the election process.
