I was a project manager involved in several UK OER projects from 2009 to 2011 covering a range of different disciplines across the UK higher education sector. I was then programme manager for the organisation jointly overseeing the same UK OER programme in 2012/13. This national role included working as a consultant to deliver pedagogic change within institutions and a comprehensive review of institutional strategy relating to intellectual property management within an institution. I was also involved in the development of the OER Wales national policy as a member of the projects expert steering group- to which I remain loosely associated. Additionally I was involved in the commissioning of research into the pedagogic aspects of MOOCs.
I currently sit on the committee of an Open Education Special Interest Group and until recently sat on the organising committee for the OER14 (oer14.org) conference held in April 2014.
I am an experienced project and programme manager of educational development projects which lead to curriculum change and enhancement using OE practices to disseminate outputs and outcomes. I am proficient in preparing and issuing funding calls to address current needs and trends within the higher education sector in relation to technology enhanced learning and learning design. I have experience in managing all aspects of such calls and the projects that arise as a result including the bid review processes and financial management.
Using formal and inform channels, I continue to advocate and push the OE agenda at my institution and nationally to ensure that the student learning experience is enhanced.
