Profile

Personal statement

I head the National Copyright Unit ( NCU) which provides specialist copyright advice to the Australian schools and the TAFE sector, implements smart copying initiatives and conducts negotiations with collecting societies on behalf of Australian school and TAFE institutes sectors. See www.smartcopying.edu.au

I am one of the co-founders and President of Peer 2 Peer University (P2PU) (www.p2pu.og ), an online open education initiative which is partnering with Creative Commons to build a School of Open( www.p2pu.org/en/schools/schol-of-open) as well as other exciting initiatives. My popular P2PU course Copyright 4 Educators is now up to 6th iteration and has almost 95 % student retention rate, rare for any open online course.
I am a passionate advocate of Creative Commons and Open Education and was one the drafters of the Cape Town Declaration on Open Education.
