My experience with OER is through the engagement of undergraduate students in the development of OER. This includes raising awareness between staff and students, tapping into student-generated content through engaging students in creating learning resources and publishing openly. The work also includes understanding the technical background of students in the area of student-generated content and user-generated content, and students' skills as being labelled as "new generations" of using content authoring software tools to build the learning resources.
The work has been put into real-life setting, that is educational environment at the University of Western Sydney - Australia, in the period of 2012-2013 and evaluated in terms of students' learning performance and quality of student-generated OER.
My personal experience prior to this research was at the Arab Open University as tutor and unit coordinator between 2008-2010, and followed by this PhD research work in 2011 up to present.
