I am co-ordinator of the Open Education Working Group. The group has been established to bring together people and groups interested in open education. Its goal is to initiate global cross-sector and cross-domain activity that encompasses the various facets of open education.
I work for Open Knowledge, a not-for-profit organisation that believe that open knowledge can empower everyone, enabling people to work together to tackle local and global challenges, understand our world, expose inefficiency and challenge inequality and hold governments and companies to account.
My recent area of research is open education data: how open data can support education, how education institutions can build on open and linked data. I have over 15 years of digital information expertise and during that time have worked on OER development, open licensing activity, open access inititatives, research data management, developing world activities in open education. My knowledge is broad and I am keen to offers Open Knowledge support and be involved in global initiatives if possible.
