I believe passionately in education equity for all, and in the potential of open and online learning as enablers of these. My area of expertise in OER is research and communication methodology among practitioners. My company examines Open Education Resources (OER) trends, uptake, and policy worldwide (within the broader context of online learning). I am interested in the use of OER across different sectors, with a focus on the US and UK, though research is global in scope. I’m also interested in the use of wikis (including Wikipedia) as open educational tools.
Past funders and collaborators include the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL), The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the OER Research Hub of The Open University (UK), The University of Mississippi, Evergreen Education Group (publisher of “Keeping Pace with K-12 Online & Blended Learning”), CompetencyWorks (US), Wiki Strategies (US), Sero Consulting (UK), and KMDI, University of Toronto (Canada).
