The Online Teaching Conference held June 14-15 at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose targets the faculty, staff, and administrators of the 112 California Community Colleges engaged (or interested) in online education including delivery of online services such as library and technical support for students and faculty.

Ten members of the Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources (CCCOER) Advisory Board attended the conference and and/or presented on various aspects of OER sourcing, creating, sharing, and emerging trends. Fortunately the organizers of the conference from 3C Media at Palomar College and @One Training at Mount San Jacinto and other colleges did an excellent job streaming live sessions and making available video archives.

In particular, I’d like to call attention to the five sessions that were focused on Open Educational Resources and Open Courseware.

Community College Consortium Advisory board members: Andrea Henne, Barbara Illowsky, Lisa Storm, and James Glapa-Grossklag represented the many faces of Open Educational Resources at their respective colleges:  San Diego Community College District, De Anza College, Hartnell, and College of the Canyons in the CCCOER Open Open Everywhere Panel.

Dr. Judy Baker from Foothill College also presented on her Health Ed 101 Course and Throwing away the Textbook which was streamed and archived.

Jayme Johnson from the California Community College High Tech Training Center Unit and I presented on The Power of OER to Support Diverse Learners.   Although this session was not archived due to networking issues, look for a noon time @One webinar next fall on how to create accessible open educational resources to support all learners.

Jacky Hood, Director of College Open Textbooks, presented on the many different open courseware options available for self-study, So Much OpenCourseware, So Little Time streamed and archived.

On Friday afternoon at 3:30 I presented emerging trends in the Open Education Revolution: From Open Access to Open Credentialing session which was both streamed and archived.
