Washtenaw Community College

Washtenaw Community College was founded in 1965 and enrolls more than 18,000 students in credit classes, plus thousands more in economic and college development classes, each year. WCC's mission is to make a positive difference in people’s lives through accessible and excellent educational programs and services. In line with this mission is the college's strong OER campus culture, with OER offerings in hundreds of course sections across 20 departments each semester.

WCC's open textbook program includes faculty OER development cohorts with wrap-around support from librarians and instructional designers, OER savings tracking, book cost course marking, ongoing professional development around OER and Open Education, and more.
