We are pleased to announce that Open Education Week 2016 will take place from March 7 to 11, 2016. Open Education Week (OEW) is an annual celebration of the global Open Education Movement and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide. Initiated in 2012, OEW has since evolved into a truly global event attracting hundreds of contributors representing nearly 50 different countries, and participants from more than 130 countries.

The Call for Participation in OEW 2016 will be issued in October.

Please check the OEW website for latest updates, archives of past events or to download OEW 2016 promotional materials such as logos and website banners in various formats.

We would also like to thank you for giving us feedback about preferred dates for OEW. March was selected as the most preferred month to hold OEW. If you are unable to organize events during March 7-11, 2016 we invite you to organize events before or after the official OEW 2016 dates, as best fits your schedule.
