Nov 2: ePortfolios for Open Learning and Assessment

Join the Open Education Consortium for this webinar with Ellen Marie Murphy on using ePortfolios for learning and assessment in higher education including curriculum mapping models.  ePortfolios can offer a more authentic assessment method than the use of multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank assignments or tests.  Students are asked to provide evidence of their learning and reflect on the experience of learning in an ePortfolio which requires more critical thinking and analysis that traditional testing methods. During this webinar, you will see examples of student ePortfolios in multiple disciplines and various ePortfolio platforms will be discussed with an emphasis on open source solutions such as Mahara.

Date: Monday, November 2nd

Time: 12:00pm EST/9:00am PST
