The New York Times/International Herald Tribune has reprinted erroneous information from last week’s University World News article suggesting MIT was considering an OCW paywall. The UWN reporter misinterpreted comments by an MIT community member at a recent OECD meeting. MIT is always evaluating its position in the online space, which is what the speaker’s comments alluded to, but MIT is not considering placing OCW behind a paywall.
