The Open Education Consortium (OEC) is thrilled to announce our new Executive Director,  Paul Stacey.  Paul joins OEC after five years as Associate Director of Global Learning for Creative Commons where he  helped creators, faculty, students, librarians and the public generate a global public commons of knowledge and culture. Paul has extensive experience leading Open Educational Resource initiatives in Canada, USA, the Middle East / North Africa and around the world.

Prior to Creative Commons Paul helped found BCcampus in 2003 and led its open education initiative for nine years. Paul excels at forming and leading strategic partnerships that amplify the reach and impact of open education.
